In Translation: A Man Booker International Prize Panel
Thursday 16 May, 7pm, Foyles, Charing Cross Road

In anticipation of the Man Booker International Prize winner announcement on Tuesday 21st May, join the shortlisted translators for a discussion of their craft.

The evening will include a discussion from the translators about their shortlisted works led by journalist, editor and literary critic Ellah Wakatama Allfrey and followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.

This event is presented in partnership with English PEN.

Man Booker International Prize Readings 

Monday 20 May, 7.45pm, Southbank Centre

On the 20 May, the night before the 2019 Man Booker International Prize winner is unveiled, the public are invited to join this year’s shortlisted authors and translators for an evening of readings in both English and the native languages of the books, and conversation around their books. Plus, a Q&A and book signing.

An evening with the Man Booker International Prize 2019 winners

Join this year’s winning author and translator for an evening of readings in both English and the native language of their book, followed by a discussion about writing the book and experience of winning the prize, an audience Q&A and book signing
